We are a friendly, informal group of around a dozen men and women, all with an interest in writing - whether short stories, poems or novels. Some of us have been published in print, some publish their own work as e-books, others write purely for their own interest and satisfaction.
Normally, we would meet on Monday evenings (when government restrictions allow - see PROGRAMME page for current activities), from 7.30 to 9.30, at the Memorial Hall (Village Hall), right in the middle of Stedham village which is just over a mile from Midhurst. New faces are always welcome, so please do drop in and say hello; if you would like to tell us you're coming, just call our Chairman Bob Berry on 01730 814005 and he will be watching out for you.
So what happens during our meetings? Well, some of us bring pieces of our own work to read to the group, while others just listen to the readings, or maybe discuss their future ideas. Occasionally, when time allows, we may be given a Workshop challenge - writing a few words (usually lighthearted) within a few minutes, on a given subject chosen by our Chairman.
If you are an aspiring writer and would like to meet with others who can give support and encouragement, this is the place to come!
NOTE: if this page appears as a single column which also includes the illustrations, you are viewing in tablet mode. If so, please change to the normal layout using the tab at the foot of the page, so that the whole site can be correctly displayed.
